I believe this LG 26LV2500 is currently one of HDTV with the best price-performance ratio on the market. Good picture on digital programs, usable sound, no unnecessary gimmicks. With this device you cannot do anything wrong.
Actually …. I would now like to discuss some points that I have noticed in my specific use case, and sure be interesting for you. Even though I have something that bothered me, I want to emphasize that it is still overall is an excellent piece of equipment, hence the 4 stars.
I was looking for a smaller second device of bedroom and to have good experiences with our “Big” LG 42LD750 and previous reviews here again resorted to a device of the Koreans. Be placed due to space reasons, the TV in about 1.90 meters high on a cabinet (the latter is provided on a wall mounting bracket). I’ve connected the device via DVB-C, or via HDMI to the Blu-ray players.
The remote is compact and convenient way of gratifying. They responded quickly and from different angles, you must not aiming the TV directly. The buttons are shaped differently, of adequate size and placed well apart, so that you can easily feel it in the dark.
Now to the main point: the picture. As previously described, with digital channels because there’s nothing to complain about, vibrant and sharp. Response time looks good. Analog programs are hardly reasonable but It’s ok for me. However, the vertical viewing angle is just OK for me.
For one bedroom unit is also another extremely important property: soft sound. Finally, sometimes you want to watch TV for a while, when the better half asleep. And here is the LG 26LV2500 disqualified. You cannot regulate the low volume range. The volume jump from level 0 (silent) to 1 (of 100) is simply a bit large, hardly sleep should be considered.
