55PFL7505D/F7 Review By “J.K>”
I have searched long and wanted to replace my good old tube TV.
I was very picky and struggled to find a suitable TV … if it should be equal to the best of the best and I believe with this TV I have made the perfect choice. In stores stood out from the surrounding of the LED Philips LCD and plasma produced, the picture was compared to the others in its price class at best.
I premise by saying that I am a technology freak and I love everything that is innovative.
A great device. The picture on digital reception is excellent. Razor-sharp, no motion blur and super blacks. For analog sources, the picture is good. Outstanding is its design. A jewelry piece for any living room. The Ambilight is particularly great in the dark.
The PS3 via HDMI cable was quickly identified with a few button presses and simple menu system and opened the true capabilities of the television: the picture is awesome … very rich colors, perfect, smooth, deep black, very high resolution image. Smooth and even buttery soft image movements make the eyes look away from the screen only reluctantly.
On the menu operations you have to get used to something, because the remote control no longer has the traditional teletext button or a simple clock display by pressing a button. Nevertheless, the menu is very simple (intuitive to use immediately!) Because most of it is well explained and you quickly into the routine.
After weeks of joyous use of the device but this is the TV experience limited only conditionally, as this with movies, games, etc. But I’m not tested on Bluray animated films so I can not judge because I have none.
Conclusion:
Anyone who takes this device will not be disappointed, it will be perfect and liquid-HD delivers picture with beautiful color values. The sound is good but not great (the sound is supposed to provide even more the home theater surround system). Versatile USB-use (even SD cards!) And extensive configuration options for individual devices (eg PS3 or Bluray player) that can be saved, so you have to change the setting when something new.
