LG 55LM8600 55-Inch Cinema 3D 1080p 240Hz Dual Core LED HDTV with Smart TV

The LG 55LM8600 is a really smart TV with slim bezel, It looks very elegant. No big fuss with lots of chrome, such as at Samsung. The design is therefore absolutely timeless! Even the stand itself makes a solid impression.

The picture is really great. Whether HD TV, Blu-Ray or DVD, the images are always displayed sharp. Clouding, I have found none. Only the corners shine a little brighter with a completely black background.

I also have a lot of playing around with the picture settings and this setting proves to be very convenient. However unfortunately it reflects a bit, so I have to turn the TV always a few degrees from the direction of the light, if I do not sit perpendicular to the unit.

The 3D mode is really impressive. Polarization is working fine and the light and cheap eyeglasses are absolutely top! I can also with many friends enjoy 3D without great cost. I tested with real 3D Tron Legacy and some demos of LG Youtube … really impressive … the spatial depth is stunning and the pop-out is simply unbelievable! Also watch photos in 3D can be so enriching.

The sound is really for such a slim device more than fine. For normal TV series, news are absolutely sufficient. Hear no oversteer or rattling. For the proper blockbuster but then you should connect an external system.

The LG 55LM8600 has of course lots of Smart TV modes. First, I will focus on Smart Share. This works really well when a USB flash drive or disk is connected, recognized, and you can comfortably navigate through the folder structure. Really helpful here is the magnificent Magic Remote with scroll. Even when surfing the web browser they can be a relatively quick and comfortable typing in the addresses.

The browser of LG TV really outstanding. Quick and supports Flash! I’ve rarely seen. There are also many apps to download, which I have tested yet and probably will not because of no interest to me. The wireless connection is fast and reliable! Dual Channel I find it very interesting, but I have not tested this.

Operation with the Magic Remote operation is really fun. In comparison with a conventional remote control a real relief. A classic remote control is also included. The menu structure is completely intuitive. I did not need to take a look at the manual … all very easy.

I am highly satisfied with the LG. The great image in conjunction with a stunning 3D effects really brings a cinema experience into your living room. The affordable, lightweight and super-functioning 3D goggles another helping. It’s just fun to look together with several friends 3D movie files. Thanks LG! >> Read More Reviews
