LG Cinema 3D 55LW5600 Reviews
LG Cinema 3D 55LW5600 1080p 120 Hz LED TV with Smart TV
Review By “Dr.Johann”
I’ve been looking for a long time for a big TV that delivers nearly such a 3D picture quality as I had experienced in the cinema. The long-available 3D TV with the shutter glasses have not convinced me.
Recently I know that LG offers the 3D TVs that work on a similar procedure as in the cinema (polarization technology). So, I decided on LG 55LW5600, 55 inch 3D LED TV.
The frame around the screen is black and glossy. Bottom right is a small LED that indicates the operating status. LED is not bright and therefore not intrusive. I’ve seen TVs and DVD players that have very bright front lights and the disturbing. I had to seal it with tape.
Stable stand has a joint. This way you can turn the TV around vertical axis slightly. That’s good. Right below there is some touch sensitive “buttons” on / off, volume control, choice of channels and menu settings.
As usual with LCD TV’s viewing angle was somewhat limited. The image can therefore not be seen clearly from any angle. For a LED TV, the viewing angle was very large. This is especially important for me and has been a major reason why I had given up on LCD TVs, as I like to watch TV from my desk, which is the side of the TV.
With this 55LW5600 from LG, it was not a major problem. I though the image was somewhat blurred than in frontal view, but still clearly visible. This is really impressive.
Picture quality on cable TV : more good than bad. From 3 meters distance looks good. Also in standard resolution.
Picture quality via HDMI is very good, Also in 3D, Picture is very good, 3D effect as well. In 3D mode spacing should be at least 3 feet from the TV. So far we have watched at only two 3D BluRays: “Rapunzel” and “Conference of the animals.” Not only me, but four spectators are more positively with 3D effect.
Sound quality, for the ultra slim design is acceptable. Power output: 2 x 10 watts. The rear speakers are well built.
I can use my LG 55LW5600 access the Internet also works over WiFi. You can use LG Smart TV like a Smartphone Download Apps on the TV and read there the picture, or check the weather. I personally use LG Smart TV for Twitter and Facebook and also items for Youtube.com
The TV is also DLNA certified. Thus, the LG 55LW5600 with devices from many other manufacturers is easily compatible, which is just for the Smart Share function very important. This collaboration work with other devices very well. In my case there were no problems, although I have devices from different manufacturers.
In addition, I can use a portable hard drive connected via the USB port of TV. The USB port is USB 2.0, So if my friends bring videos, photos or music on a hard drive, they can be quickly see on TV with the best quality.
Conclusion:
I can recommend the TV to all who want to enjoy 3D movies in excellent quality! | See All LG 55LW5600 Reviews |
