LG Infinia 55LW6500 55-Inch 240Hz 1080p 3D LED HDTV with Smart TV

I write this review within three weeks. Because real experience is gained only after sometime. So I put the last three weeks very intensively with the features and probably tried everything. So, Let’s make it quick.

Processing
The processing is great in short words. The optical glass of the frame looks very classy. The standard black design is very good effect. The back is very well made and attached with several screws. In sum, today’s television very similar in design and differ only by the most printed brand name. Even the most responsive touch controls on the lower right front of today’s standard of every manufacturer.

The assembly instructions are enclosed, even as a layman is not necessary. The structure is self explanatory and very easy.If you feel insecure when it comes to deal with such an expensive device, you should build him up with two people.

Connections
LG offers everything you need. A connector for the antenna and an integrated tuner are naturally present, so that theoretically no need for an additional receiver. Not to be forgotten is also the CI slot, the card with the appropriate adapter, the direct viewing of pay TV allows.

Media Players

Smart Share and DLNA media center functionality
The TV is DLNA certified. DLNA enables wireless networking with other DLNA devices, which also works across manufacturers. This allows media content (pictures, movies, music) of a PC wirelessly networked with the LG TV. This access the material and gives it back to the TV.

The PC as a media server can be easily set up with the freely available software Medialink. So I could access music, movies and pictures that were stored on my PC and shared, accessed and viewed directly on the TV. An optional box from LG, it is also possible to all DLNA devices like cell phones and laptops to connect. I was able to test the function with my Panasonic BluRay player, which worked very well with the television.

Smart TV
With the Home Premium or button on the remote control to boot into the Smart TV world. The navigation is very simple and clear. Signing up is easy as well, and LG would not ask for personal data. Just only Username and password must be set.
There are many other features such as Twitter or Google Maps on your TV just yet make no sense. Also The use of Facebook on such a device I don’t think it’s a good idea. However, all the offerings of the retrieval of the evening news still seems most useful.

Picture quality
The picture is sharp and beautiful to look at in detail. LG also offers an excellent colors and deeper black. SD programs are scaled up very well. Anyone connected to the home theater system receives a normal DVD looks at the appropriate source material is an upscaled image in near HD quality. CINEMA 3D
I absolutely open mind on the 3D technology. I’ve never attended a 3D cinema, I could also still no 3D experience. In order to bring it directly to the point – I’m thrilled.

The 3D technology is fantastic and it works almost perfectly. I’ve seen rich colors and sharp images, Especially Ice Age in 3D it has done to me in this piece of technology. Madness and breathtaking as the mammoth was in my room. The LG supplied with 4 Pairs of 3D Glasses included microfiber cloth for cleaning. The glasses sit very well and fills the field of view very well. Processes the glasses is also excellent, the plastic layer of the glasses seems thick enough.

3D conversion function
As a special treat, LG has also integrated a conversion function from 2D to 3D, which I personally find very interesting. In standard mode, the conversion function is not as good as the validity and disappointed. So you have to make fine adjustments depending on the materials that are easy to use, When the conversion feature was turned on, you can change the depth of the effect on the menu button. What can I say, it works really well. Of course, obviously not as good as a real 3D production.

Sound quality
The 2 x 10 watt speakers ranging from completely for normal use. The sound comes out very nicely. The artificially generated surround effects can be seen. However, one cannot expect miracles even with a device for that price. Here everything is clearly laid out on home theater.

Conclusion:
Who plays with the idea to purchase a new TV set and it puts an emphasis on modern technology, can access this device safely. There is

almost nothing that LG has skipped to the latest technology. Included the 3D functionality offered by a new sense of television viewers and manipulated. and thanks to conversion function itself offers new interesting possibilities for the daily program. The menu system I feel just as perfect. Very clear and modern LG knows so well to inspire even non-technical person.

I’m not thrilled by the Smart TV function, but I can hardly blame. As mentioned, I think that this feature just yet in its infancy, with LG, as well as every other manufacturer. Currently offer are just too few features and useful content are scarce.

After three weeks of intensive testing, I can only recommend that all interested parties a purchase. You will not be disappointed!
