Sony Bravia KDL55EX720 Review
Sony KDL55EX720 55-Inch 240Hz 1080p 3D LED HDTV [Black]
55EX720 Review By “Andy Fred”
In appearance, the Sony Bravia not very different from other competing models. He is covered with black piano lacquer, which makes him look very noble and up-to-date. However like any other flat screen TV also takes this much care. Overlaying by the dust, he draws on almost magical. It is therefore advisable to wipe the device always with a microfiber cloth to improve picture perception to hand.
Assembly and installation are easier and faster, which should be taken to affix the stand in any case a second person for help.
The menu system that guide you through the basic installation of perhaps ten minutes, is always clearly detectable and minimalist. The numerous user interfaces, for example to fine tune the picture and sound, have a simple technical design in dark colors and are always clear and therefore easy to use.
A general instruction to get a printed copy in the box, but does not for a specific TV model, but affects a whole series of marketing for Sony. The specific instructions are built into the TV and press a separate button on the remote control at any time. Speaking of remote control: This appears at first glance to be very large. However it was surprisingly anything but clunky.
The picture on the energy-saving LED screen is very clear and, depending on the preference setting are full coloring possible, but of course costs in return more power. HD programs are shown impressive focus and act very much alive. An additional improvement have given the already high image quality with the so-called Motionflow of the 240-Hz technology. The picture in fast movement that is not perceptible motion blur, which gives the show more depth and authenticity. HD content benefit from a particular extent.
The sound could not confirm the quality of the picture, unfortunately. The built-in TV speakers produce the sound again extremely thin. Best served by connecting a high-quality sound system.
The device connection designed to be extremely simple. Especially HD-capable devices can be connected via a completely straightforward of the four HDMI ports. Unfortunately, the TV has only a single scart connection for older equipment.
The Sony Bravia boasts its numerous special features such as the presence of sensor or to access the Internet via an external connection. In this context I find the USB HDD TV recording as pronounced. It allows for formatting a USB-connected hard drive to record digital TV programs by hand or timer – very handy!
Conclusion
For newcomers to the world of flat-screen television of the Sony Bravia is probably not appropriate.
For such customers, for example, the Philips 55 PFL 5505D/F7 (no 3D function) would be good. However Who emphasizes the 3D feature and the numerous special functions, also provides an increased power demand on the picture for this Sony Bravia 55EX720 TV certainly not a bad idea.
