LG 47 inch LED 3D HDTV – 47LW5600 1080p 120 Hz with Smart TV

47LW5600 Review By “Nigel G.”

lg 47lw5600 LG Infinia 47LW5600 ReviewThe LG 47LW5600 boasts a simple and elegant black, shiny appearance. The touch buttons on the bottom right are almost invisible and thus not interfere with the positive image. In addition, the TV with just under 3 inches seems very slim and therefore is not bulky.

The menu are pretty self-explanatory and so well designed and clear. However, the channel search took sometime, the TV is not all relevant channels found. However, these can easily through a manual search or by direct input of the channel to add. The automatic sorting of channels was not necessarily my wishes. By simply adding to their own favorites, the transmitters cannot find quickly and easily.

The TV is usefully equipped with 4 HDMI inputs, which makes it possible to connect simultaneously multiple devices via HDMI, which is with me next to the BluRay player and the PC.
The TV supports CI +. Then there are the usual standard ports. Also Its has a digital optical audio output, allowing a Dolby digital sound system perfect.

The menu is simple and easy to understand, The time of the switching process is enjoyable as very short. The other menus are clear and generally becomes quite appealing. The operation on the device is easy with the touch sensors, and a pleasure.

With internet access, I used, services such as online video store or YouTube can easily use and are available as pre-installed apps on your TV. Although I find the service on the PC is still much more comfortable, but the selection of a video can also use the TV to handle well.

I tested the TV with both digital and an analog cable connection. In the digital cable TV (e.g., the use of HD channels) is the full HD picture and razor sharp. The colors are rich and deep, the picture still smoothly even for fast movements (e.g., action films or football). For non-HD channels the picture was good, though not perfect. There was a slight noise in the image, which should be avoided at this size TV with analog connections. The built-in triple tuner (DVB-T, cable, satellite) works well and ensures I tested the transmission (DVB-T and cable) at any time for a very good picture. A reception of HD channels is recommended because of the size of the TV.

The 3D technology is really impressive. The included two 3-D glasses are just 16 grams and incredibly easy to wear so very pleasant. I thought that was really great because I was so far known from other TVs that the glasses are quite heavy and chunky, what this TV was not the case.  The 3D image is impressively sharp and contrasty and the 3D effects are great. The 3-D movies I’ve watched with a 3D-capable Blu-Ray players were really fantastic.

Sound quality:
The quality of the built-in speaker is fine. The maximum volume is great and the sound extremely well. Using a variety of settings (such as virtual surround sound or sound optimizers). In combination with the LG multimedia system, the sound quality will shine in full bloom. When I had the TV connected to my Dolby surround system, I was thrilled by the intense sound experience, not only crystal clear but still incredibly alive presents the different impressions in a great surround sound. That was really great and had to pay a real cinema feeling.

Conclusion:
A great TV that offer everything I expect a very good TV. Excellent image quality, multiple functions and a magnificent 3D effect convincing in every detail. Weak points are at partial control something complicated, but which can be easily rectified by using a multimedia system. Overall, Really great and totally convincing!
