LG Plasma 50PS80 Review
50PS80 Review By “Daniel T.”
LG 50PS80 50-Inch 1080p Plasma Broadband HDTV
I bought this TV at the end of 2009 (bought online) and I must say I am very pleased.
The thing I really like is FULLHD 1920 x 1080p with 3x HDMI that you can connect with HD source such BD-Player, Playstation3 or Xbox 360 and also it has Netcast Entertainment technology, with which I can watch TV show, News, weather updates also youtube directly from Internet without computer on the TV.
It’s easy to use and install, the menu has several languages.
It has excellent color and brightness. I state that we use it mainly to play with the games console or watch movies in HD.
- The video performance is excellent
- Response times are 0
- Non-existent input lag
- The color rendition is very good
- 600Hz sub-field driving refresh rate technology
- Menu and intuitive functionality
- Excellent opportunity to calibrate
- Little-space
- No problems De-interlacing SD sources
It’s Amazing Mega Contrast ratio : 2,000,000:1
Energy consumption, it must be pointed out here that there is energy saving function that allows you to decrease the contrast and reduce consumption
Given that 80% of the time the TV is usually used to watch TV to keep a high contrast is useless ..
Also see why a digital TV of this size … is not the best, but because of the TV signal.
Then when we go to put a nice HD source … Well then everything changes and feature THX certificate it mean great quality of HDTV Plasma, we are at the TOP
What to say depends on how you make the best TV is as if used for games(PS3) and movies(BD-Rom) from HD sources are much better at the TOP of the range LCD + LCD or LED.
Nice quality that i never regret, So I recommend it
Price : $1,200 – $1,600 (Jun 2010)
