Panasonic TX P42G20B Review
TX P42G20B Review By “Craig Burt”
Panasonic TX-P42G20B 42-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p 600Hz Neo Plasma TV with Freeview HD and Freesat HD
Last year I reviewed the Panasonic version of v10, so I thought it appropriate to give my assessment to the new version arrived in stores in recent months.
Certainly the new model has almost nothing in common with the previous model. And changed both its aesthetic and functional.
This year the line was abandoned with the glass to the brim with piping in aluminum for the frame titanium-colored livery.
It was eliminated in the double glazing, because sometimes a reflection of too few, but extremely useful for those with a family of children not just to watch hi-tech items.
Now the glass is unique, but manages to get to a level of contrast, and then black, high, bearing the logo “infinite black pro”, so for those who choose their TV only by the contrast here find the maximum .
The base is rotating and has the same color of the frame.
This is one of the versions this year Panasonic implements the techniques acquired from Pioneer.
The result is certainly remarkable, the contrast from a feeling of deep enough to get the impression that the images leave the television set, a result that when any TV with LCD technology can achieve.
The colors are always very natural, as is only right course.
These results are obtained with images and high-level sources, then blu ray DVD players with excellent quality.
In this model, as in the previous year, is integrated with support for terrestrial digital high definition digital satellite.
Connections are practically the same as the previous model, we added support for Wi-Fi networks via a WiFi dongle supplied with the TV and two USB ports that lead them to have more options.
The possibility of connecting a USB keyboard, useful for applications in the system integrated VIERA CAST, YOU TUBE type to search for videos without going crazy with the remote control, or to chat with Skype, just integrated with the software update released about 2 days ago.
And possible to connect a pen drive for reading the content from this year also supports music.
You can also connect a hard disk to record television programs provided more than 160GB.
To report that everything is recorded you can not move or read anywhere else except from the TV where it was registered.
To use Skype you need to instead buy a webcam that will sell the Panasonic.
The VIERA CAST is continually renewed and in addition to various portals for watching streaming videos, you can now rent or purchase films on demand via the ACE portal TRAX.
Always present the DLNA function to access your photo library or video music on your PC. And ‘necessary but installing a media server software on your PC for media management.
For Windows PC is fine even PS3 media server.
In short, a high-performance, complete with a price of everything and certainly not exaggerated given the high rate of technical product.
The TV is always guaranteed for use of 100,000 hours of work and consumption has also been reduced by 40%, and sometimes less, the best LCD with LED backlight, we are on the order of 130Watt of average consumption Whereas some brands LEDs also consume 180Watt.
