TC-P42G25 Review By “Jarred-R”

Panasonic viera p42G25 300x227 Panasonic P42G25 ReviewHi, I bought a new Plasma TV. Here’s my review.

Panasonic VIERA TC-P42G25
I bought the TV from Amazon. The TV was in a huge package delivered directly to the living room. The carrying straps are made of plastic and have to unpack the TV is first clipped out of the box.

Through this system is the whole package reusable and very well suited for transporting the TVs. For transportation you need 2 people, the TV is big and heavy (about 62 pounds).

Delivery

The package contains:
- Panasonic G25 series Plasma HDTV
- Remote control + batteries
- Robust and beautiful stand
- operating instructions

The construction designed to be relatively simple. All necessary steps for the installation of the base are well documented.

First impressions
After unpacking, immediately falls to the perfect workmanship. The base is completely secure and robust shaky. The TV has a continuous sheet of glass and is surrounded by a thin glossy black frame. This TV is very noble.

Audio
In general, the sound from the built-in speakers sound very clear. I would say, with 20 watts, the unit is exceptionally well equipped. I am very satisfied with the sound quality – as it more than sufficient for my needs. A Dynamic Enhancer circuit is used to simulate an effect of improved width. The switch is controlled by the surround button on the remote control.

Video
The black level of the TV is excellent. Dark scenes are presented here with very nice color gradients and details. As a good example for this scenario, call the beginning of Doom3. This is played with a lot of darkness and shadow. Black are deep black!

The picture is in TV mode as very good. The scaling works very well here. Noise without noise reduction is hardly noticeable. As a special image enhancement is to name 3D-COMP mode. This works out at standing / moving some areas of the image contours and builds lettering for a sharper display. This really is the SD TV picture at once vivid and sharper. The Full HD mode, I tested with the PC via HDMI port.

I have tested with Bluray player “Death Race”. Here the focus should be set to maximum. Details are here, worked out well especially with moving images. This distant objects in the image are particularly vivid.

You can easily connect a PC, TOP and replaced every high-quality PC monitor! In addition, you can view via the SD card reader for your own photos and video. The remote control is quite clear and provides the ability to control all functions: video, text, surround, program assistant, TV recording, subtitles, volume control, and much, much more.

The Life
Supposedly, the plasma screens of the devices from the 2009-series Viera he survive up to 100,000 hours. So if you would look 24 hours a day, would screen the 4166 days, so a good 10 years, survive. I’m very excited and will definitely tell you how it goes on.

Conclusion
: I am satisfied with the picture quality – whether in movies or games, the resolution is always great and the colors expressive.
