Philips 32 inch LCD LED TV 32PFL4505D/F7 Review
Philips 32PFL4505D/F7 32-Inch 1080p LED LCD HDTV, Black
32PFL4505D/F7 Review By “Pretty Skunk”
Finally it was, time to get rid of the beloved TV Sony 14″ and buy one the little bigger. I was looking for one that was not very expensive, LCD 32″ and it was Full HD TV. I spent several days looking for all types of internet TV from different brands until I settled on the Philips 32PFL4505D/F7.
The assembly is also simple, have a system that can hang to the wall or into desktop without having to buy another accessory. Regarding the quality of picture and sound, there is nothing negative, it is very good, but the reflection of the screen is very intense and if there is too much light or direct sunlight, this is reflected in the TV, but I think this is a problem of all LED televisions.
The connectivity of the TV is enough, missing a second USB, but can connect a USB hub available to only you could connect more than one device to the TV, if you buy the USB wireless adapter sold separately and allows the TV to connect to a wi-fi access option NetTV, online registration and DLNA servers through which you can see on your TV content stored on other devices, either directly as a NAS or through streaming, very useful option to avoid any problem of formats and codecs.
The HD channels are available with a crisp and excellent picture quality, others are fine too. Logically until all are not HD will not be able fully to enjoy these TVs.
The TV supports most codecs, including mkv, but curiously does not support subtitles (srt or typical sub files that accompany, films in original version) and it seems Philips has no plans to include this update short term, or at least it has told me the Philips support there is to say working really well, both by telephone and via mail. In addition Philips also make software for connecting the Laptop to the TV but only for Windows OS, not linux. It is not difficult to find services for Linux DLNA compatible, I guess there will also be programs to display the Linux desktop on the tv, but I have not tried because it’s something not currently require.
It has what they call “Incredible Surround”, 2 x 3W RMS of power in sound is not bad for a TV of 32″. Anyway I consider this secondary because today, I think to take advantage of HDTV should include an external sound system.
In summary
This Philips gives us confidence of a leading brand, additional benefits for better sound and picture and all at a good price, I recommend it!
