Philips 32PFL6704D Review
32PFL6704D Review By “Simon Celeb”
Philips 32PFL6704D/F7 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV
I has purchased this HDTV on August 2009, represented the perfect compromise between price and quality that suitable with my girlfriend. I helped in the choice and I must say that I spent much time looking for and find reviews about HDTV for deciding to buy this TV.
I try to connect HD sources (PS3 BD-Rom) It’s Amazing!!
The tv is a 32-inch FullHD 1080p minimum size.
The aesthetics of the TV is simple and rounded edges are a feature that has impressed me in any case.
Installation is quick and after plugging the device, then follow a guided setup program to set the main features. Then we must spend some time letting the analog and digital tuner do their job seeking frequency programs.
Use your TV remote control is simple and clear and with keys well spaced and visible. Appears to be resistant to impact (I already dropped a few times from two feet on the marble and now works again … but it’s still better to avoid).
Regarding the image, you can adjust so many settings that having a little ‘patience and practice, be sure that we succeed in obtaining the combination suits our needs. The image is very good sharp and clear, colorful and the upscaling DVD is not a problem to perceived quality on the screen.
The contrast is high, but having a static backlight technology, we are not at the levels of local dimming LED (of course). Still on the contrary, that stated (48000:1) refers to dynamic contrast.
The function that allows you to activate 120HZ frequency and that makes the image smoother. When I connect it with Playstation3 or BD Player fantastic on this 120Hz screen.
Sore point is the sound, quite low and flat (20watt). I think it is due to the thickness of the product, which has forced the inclusion of small speakers (IMHO). If you combine a home theater system resolves everything.
The connections are many and with 4 HDMI can connect to everything without having to change plugs. There are also more traditional VGA sockets, SCART, SPDIF, S-video, USB (to read some media content).
Basically the TV is a very good video quality, which allows for little space in a reliable and satisfactory.
Price : $600 – $750 (May 2010)
