Philips 40PFL5706/F7 Reviews
Philips 40PFL5706/F7 40-inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD TV with Net TV [Black]
Review By “Chessman”
After much back and forth hundreds of test reports and ultimately our choice fell on the Philips 40PFL5706/F7. This decision was not only absolutely right, but they proved to be a real stroke of luck.
With the technical data, I knew I never really like this, I think that at this point is not really important. The 40PFL5706/F7 show itself in the analog mode is a very good picture of what has really rare for HDTV.
The Philips 40PFL5706/F7 has three built-in receiver makes what even a reception in full HD. However we have decided to connect an external receiver. In HD mode, this unit is absolute madness. A better picture I’ve seen in this price range before. As you can see really every wrinkle, every sweat bead and nature shots are just as real as in real life.
The picture and sound settings can all be adapted specifically to your needs. Here I must say – top menu and easy operation. It’s all find their way very clearly, is not a problem. It only becomes difficult when one wants to make about his favorite channel in a separate list.
We have also attached a network cable, so you can surf with the screen on the Web, but without playback capability of Flash content, the input without a keyboard is really tedious. However, if you have one ipad or iphone can use thanks to their free Remote app keyboard.
The USB recording (record or recording of TV programs) and the presentation of your own photos and videos via USB or SD are really no problem.
Conclusion:
The picture could, as already described at the beginning. It leaves nothing to be desired. Even in analog mode – Best! I have found no criticism here. Even the sound is very good, which is not exactly standard for LCD.
A great device that leaves no wishes unfulfilled. In this price range there are hardly any better.

I have been on the search for a new HDTV for some time now and I need to get one quick. I think that my daughter is tired of my tube TV’s all around the house because she keeps hinting that we need to upgrade. Yes, she is one of those that makes signs and brings it up in every conversations and I’m really tired of hearing about it. We went to the house of one of my co-workers from DISH the other day and my daughter saw this Phillips HDTV. She absolutely loved everything about it. My co-worker had every channel in HD, since she has HD free for life from DISH, the picture was great. So it is a little weird that you were saying you can see every wrinkle from the picture. We didn’t see any of that but now I know what to be aware of. Thanks for the great review wish me luck on her little surprise of me upgrading.
