I also wanted to finally jump on the 3D train, but my choice limited on TV LED devices for a long time, It’s still very price-intensive. After some back and forth So I have decided therefore to try it once with a plasma TV, although I was always an opponent of this technique before. By this proviso I decided on a new Samsung PN51D550 Plasma TV. In short: This TV is just awesome!
The picture quality leaves nothing to be desired! One has to first refine the settings a bit and needs a well-known “warm up” once more and a little time, but after 12 hours running time, shows the absolute brilliance of the image. At the appropriate starting material, crisp sharp, confident and in contrast has an ultra pleasant color rendition to offer. Films such as “Rapunzel” or “Tron Legacy” see in 3D just absolutely great. And if you want, you can even rely on a built-in 3-D converter, the 2D material into the third dimension and also gets pretty good. Although the picture then you realize that we are not dealing with real 3D material, but only for a converted image, the Samsung PN51D550 also makes this feature a surprisingly good figure.
I was also pleasantly surprised by the sound. The sound of this unit is also very, very well turned out. The voice reproduction is clear and understandable, and the pressure is also suitable. A real home theater, not replace it, but who always listens only on the TV will be thrilled.
In short, a TV should be like him. The picture is great! Especially when the output is high quality material, that is, if you look at a decent Blu-ray or HDTV, you will have pure joy of it. The 3D feature is neat, most obviously in the reproduction of true 3D material, but also with the built-in conversion. And the sound is better than what we are in most devices of this type.
