In early June, we ordered the Samsung PN51D7000 at Amazon for $1600. The delivery was made by DHL (free with Amazon) to the site, in our third Floor.

When first switched basic settings such as menu language selection and tuner are queried. This is all possible self-explanatory and easily without prior knowledge or reading the manual.

Processing and Design:
The quality of the workmanship leaves nothing to be desired. Only the stand would have something better and more stable can be designed. But otherwise, the Samsung really offers a lot of quality for an attractive price. Very beautiful is made that the case is extremely thin and elegant.

3D Glasses:
The glasses themselves are actually pretty good to wear. When wearing glasses, but will be somewhat more difficult. Otherwise, the glasses are also lightweight and not interfere at all what I had thought at the beginning. You get used to it very quickly and then makes 3D real fun.

Internet @ TV:
The TV is using a Built-in WiFi to connected to the Internet.
I never really use the internet because I because my PC is still significantly better and easily that typing on remote. It’s really just a gimmick and not really necessary.

The TV may be using a USB to connected hard drives,  in NTSF format and then can be detected directly keep track of it. The quality of the recordings is really good in my opinion. Here you can save yourself a more expensive recorder, if you are happy with the basic functions.

Picture quality on SD channels:
In a large TV set should be specifically comply with SD broadcasts a sufficient legroom. Then the picture looks very good. You just have to remember that the SD broadcasts simply have a significantly poorer quality than HD television broadcasts, But I am very pleased with the picture itself.

Picture quality on HD channels:
The broadcast via HD channels provide a really nice, clear and rich picture. I have to tell you that I am more convinced the picture.

Black level:
The TV has a Real Black Filter, which will improve the black level. I think that Black is playing very well and, especially when compared to LCD models.

Motion reproduction and sharpness:
Frankly I was amazed and delighted at how sharp the displayed image is. Even in fast moving scenes (football on TV, Various games via PS3). Everything looks crisp and brilliant.

2D to 3D Conversion:
A feature that convert the normal TV broadcasts (either HD or SD) and DVD / Blu Ray movies, etc, to 3D. This, of course you need the 3D glasses.
A simple push of the button, then the images are displayed in 3D. The effect works really well and even better than I had imagined.

DVD / Blu Ray:
The picture quality of DVDs is very good, the better for Blu Ray’s, of course, a lot. Only here you can see the capabilities of television in its full glory. You have (plasma Conditional) very beautiful, bright colors and great resolution. Even if one is very close to the TV, you hardly recognize dots or similar.
Here’s the Samsung scores very well. Here the conversion from 2D to 3D also makes a lot more fun than the normal television.

Sound:
So who expects real highlights or Dolby / THX effects, So you will be not disappointed. For normal television absolutely sufficient. With movies from DVD / Blu Ray should be here but should resort to an external surround sound system.

The highlight: 3D:
Now comes this, which you probably already have all been waiting for. The 3D function of the TV is now even greater detail.

Necessary prerequisites for the enjoyment of 3D in your living room:
The TV, one (or more 3D glasses) and a 3D-capable Blu Ray player. For this lends itself naturally to the PS3, but that is a matter of taste.
Blu Ray insert and go. My expectation was high in the first film and I was not disappointed. It was “real 3D” experience at home in the living room. Increase is the result, of course, with a 5.1 system, but that’s another topic.

The colors and depth in the 3D content are hard to put into words. You really feel it and be immersed in the action. As 3D movies I had to choose from: Sharks 3D, IMAX Triple Feature (pharaohs, the Galapagos and Into the Deep). for Into the deep small fish swim in front of my nose or things fly around on me. It is really like in the movies!

The 3d effect is (unlike in the 2D to 3D conversion) is extremely experience and gives me a feeling of incredible depth. Things are really out of the TV and enliven the living room.
As can be seen easily, I am thrilled by this function. I’m so hoping for it and I was not disappointed.

Conclusion:
The Samsung offers more and costs less. For your money you get a particularly attractive mature TV with inner and outer beauty. The triple tuner makes for a tidy and cable-free living. The beautiful, clear picture of the image can be found in both SD and HD images to amaze.

The biggest highlight, the 3D feature is also so successful.
Who wants to come for a few dollars more in the enjoyment of three-dimensionality, for the Samsung PN51D7000 a clear buy recommendation. He has everything also have high end equipment and justified at a price.
