I am the owner of this beautiful PN51E6500, Samsung Plasma Smart TV. I have to say the variety of possible uses is seemingly wonderful.

Uses and features

The Samsung PN51E6500 has a technology Smart Hub, With this feature it is possible to use pre-installed apps through various functions. With Family story you can share as photos, messages and special events with your loved ones. The TV also has a pre-installed feature kids so the children are entertained while they can also learn something. For the adults there may have the fitness application here is very easy to train in front of the TV with movies and sports training plan.

Furthermore, there are Samsung apps to download through the hub e.g. Skype or facebook etc. There is much to discover.

The wireless connection to the network

The unit also has a AllShare Play technology which means as much as the compatible devices can be connected wirelessly through DLNA technology. This means then movies, photos and music stored on these devices can stream and then output on the TV without wires :) by the network transmission indicated. Even a transfer from mobile devices to the TV as via wifi is possible.

The color technology

The Samsung PN51E6500 also has a new technology for more vibrant colors for a better picture. Samsung’s Wide Color Enhancer Plus significantly improves the image quality and will provide details as extremely sharp. This then provides stronger more balanced colors on the device.

Skype in large format – with optional Samsung Skype cam possible

Furthermore, you can also use Skype with the Samsung Skype camera thus it is possible to receive calls via the Skype app in large format on the TV.

PVR function – Say USB video recorder

The device has a built-in PVR function that is television shows and movies can be recorded and stored. Simply plug a USB stick or an external hard drive to the USB connector. Even the presentation of movies is possible with Connect Share Movie so you can play from a USB flash drive stored movies, photos or music.

Mouse and Keyboard

It is not officially tested but also some keyboard and mouse goes through the USB connection to control the TV from Samsung is not officially guaranteed. But I do go on some sets even when my mouse and keyboard.

The connectivity of the TV

Versatile connectivity options: 3 HDMI, 2 USB, Component, Composite are present even a headphone output is still on it. A common interface for HD Plus card is also there. One of the greatest strengths is the Full HD resolution and built-in tuner which means cable and satellite is no problem, so one needs no extra receivers more.

The picture and sound equipment

The screen resolution is the finest full HD (1920×1080), the device has a 600Hz technology and features Dolby Digital Plus and SRS Theater Sound HD of the other, there is a DTS support. Also, the device has a picture in picture technology. There is an electronic program guide, and a sleep timer circuit. Even a game mode is available on the device.

My conclusion about the device

High Tech at its best at a reasonable price. Absolute buy recommendation I can give a clear conscience.
