Samsung PN59D550 59-Inch 1080p 600Hz 3D Plasma HDTV [Black]

Review By “James Conroy”

pn59d550 300x258 Samsung PN59D550 reviewI would like to review my new 3D plasma TV.

Let’s make this quick!

The TV was delivered in a large box. Well positioned on each side of the protective parts removed and pulled away over the box just to the top. Now he stood in full glory in front of me. Still give away some Styrofoam and lift out of the box.

Since I am not a fan of instructions and my cousin whom has advised simply to start without much reading, I’ve also done this. Plug in, power on and then followed the installation wizard. This whole thing does not last long and can be actually carried out by a layman. These also finds all the available channels. Manual sort them may take quite a while. It is probably an old disease at Samsung, but what can you do …

“Experience with 3D TVs from Samsung, a new world and enjoy high-definition picture quality to a new level.”
Whether this really true, you read it now. I’ve seen the picture already in the store, but when the TV is in a home, it all looks a lot more quality and more interesting! Most of all I was looking forward to the 3D. That’s why I’ve bought like a 3D movie to do so. I chose “Journey to the Center of the Earth” decided since I looked at him already in the cinema and therefore have the ideal comparison.

Due to the advanced techniques such as DLNA and the 2D to 3D conversion should be able to watch TV without having to swap with any switch and stop. And it actually works! The film comes across great. Through my home theater system and the 3D glasses you have real cinema feeling. The picture is just “Great”. It is still possible, the picture still more according to their own properties.

Otherwise: it has a soft image, It’s burns not in the eyes when you look at it. The 600 Hz Subfield HD Motion guarantees smooth motion display even for fast movements. And the sound you cannot complain! The speakers sound with the so-called SRS Surround Sound technology without a home theater system brilliant. However, if you want more surround sound experience, I would still recommend one.

The remote control has buttons big enough, so that must be taken to use even for big fingers to key. Even so, she looks very stable. So also ensures that they won’t easily break down. I also think that an ease of use is guaranteed, since a single remote control is sufficient for all devices connected via HDMI.

Of course I could write much more about this great device, but I think that it is sufficient for those who want an overview, perfect.

Conclusion:
A great device, the 3D is great and with whom one has no technical difficulties! It’s not a cheap product, but definitely worth the money! If any of you still has questions about the device, just write in comment and I’ll answer them!

    Hi there,
I recently purchased a Sony 3d Bravia and like it a lot but have some crosstalk with 3D… now that you’ve had your PN59D550, which I’m considering upgrading to, for a few months. WHat’s the verdict? everything holding up well? How’s the crosstalk/ghosting/haloing of the 3d?
    Thanks
