I bought Samsung HDTV 55 inch, D8000 series at Amazon. I paid just $2,797 (I think, It’s not expensive for High end HDTV from Samsung) and the TV was delivered after 6 days.

My first impression of the Samsung UN55D8000 is quite positive. I liked the design anyway and the installation was easy. It could as easily be made with two people on the stand. I have not ordered the wall mount but if you want to hang the television to the wall should be the original Samsung wall mount (Samsung WMN1000C), the Samsung UN55D8000 also good on the wall.

The TV is very thin, but beautiful, but also quite annoying when I was assembling, I’m afraid to damage him, so I used 3 people to put the TV on the stand.

After the TV was set up more or less successfully, I first noticed that he is not that great and he can fall over very easily (I may worry too much). Therefore, I recommend buying wall mount bracket because it promises more stability.

The Samsung UN55D8000 has many interfaces: 4 HDMI, 3 USB ports, 1 PC input, antenna input, headphone jack, PC audio input, DVI audio input, audio output (mini jack), networking (WiFi).

The layman will already need sometime to put up with all the connections apart. So after I connected my receiver with HDMI to the TV and have my Blu-ray players also connected with HDMI to the TV, I turned on him. The television showed a configuration program which is quite easy to use. I had set the TV quickly and have looked after the first transmitter. And WOW.

Simply a great quality. Even if the television is not the greatest, he just has a good quality and rich sound. Overall, the installation went smoothly.

With a ATSC/Clear QAM Tuners can exploit the full possibilities of the TV. It’s pretty good.

The picture quality of the Samsung UN55D8000 is just fantastic.
With a screen size of 55 inch and LED backlight (Full HD) it is equipped with modern technology. I must say that with the picture, It’s beautiful very much. The picture is very satisfactory.

The 3D: The main task of the TV is well fulfilled.
The 3D effect is best at BluRays But in Tv mode, good but not very good. With Blurays you really get a hammer-3D effect, and it feels like in the movie. Just great!

The sound quality is great. It’s come with Dolby ™ Digital Plus to make a wonderful sound and have the SRS sound theater system from Samsung and the 15 Watt x 2 speakers rich bass and noise-free audio.

The features of Samsung D8000 series is on the most advanced level of technology. Good features as: 3D, Internet, AllShare, 240Hz, Skype, BD Wise, Built-in WiFi, ConnectShare Movie, noise filter, QWERTY Remote and and and …. Overall, Great!.

The electricity consumption of The TV is not consumed as much power as I expected the maximum power consumption is 200w and in standby mode, it consuming 0.06 W.
Overall these are good values.

My conclusion:
I recommend to buy if one is looking for a good 3D TV But you should still have money left over because you still need a lot of accessories to exploit fully the possibilities of the Samsung UN55D8000. Therefore, It is to me, a good quality product with the best overall score.
