Samsung  PN42C450 42-Inch 720p Plasma HDTV

With My new house. I decided to buy Samsung PN42C450.
I must say that the choice was not even very difficult, because this “Samsung has been the difference with other TV. The TV embedding the screen is a classic glossy black band.
But let’s start.

° What you will find in the box °
- Of course, the great manual.
- The remote control also included two AAA batteries.
- The power cord.
- A cloth to clean the TV.
- The warranty card.
- Cover-bottom panel (this also includes two screws)
- A ferrite core for power cord.
- Another ferrite core for S-video.

° What you should purchase °
- the cable to the antenna.
- Component cables-audio-PC-Scart-HDMI to HDMI \ DVI

Of course the TV has a nice stand. The advice I can give are as follows: firstly, the TV must be carried by two people. Do not place the TV including the stand down, because the platform could be damaged. The position should be straight and can rotate up to a maximum of 20 degrees from right to left.

° The Panel control °
then, turning on the TV is located centrally. Just make a slight pressure and the TV lights.
Instead on our right side we find the control panel, so provided:

1. SOURCE – displays a menu with all available input sources (TV-Est.1 Est.2-AV-S-Video  Component PC and HDMI-DTV)
2. MENU - just press this button to enter the menu screen with TV functions.
3. VOLUME - oh well, I do not think that should describe this key “granted”: o)
4. with these two buttons you can change channels through the menu screen and just use the  buttons.
5. ENTER-screen menu, use this button as you use the enter button on the remote.

° Panel links °
I must say that this part is not very easy to explain, at least for me, who are quite “ignorant” on the subject, but I want to try the same. So when I talk about connections panel, of course I mean the bottom of the TV.
And we start right from the first:

• POWER IN-small crack in this fall will be connected to the power, of course, provided by  Samsung.

• COMPONENT IN-input (Audio left, right) and video (Y \ Pb \ Pr) for components.

• PC IN (PC) – simply connect the PC audio and video jacks.

• Ext 1, Ext 2 – inputs and outputs of external devices such as video recorders, DVD,  gaming devices or video disc    players.

• DIGITAL AUDIO OUT connected to a digital audio component.

• CONNECTION DEVICE AUDIO RCA-plug audio signals from the television an external source, such as a portable device.

• is set aside for a connector. With the remote control to adjust the viewing angle of the  TV, just connect the serial jack between the mounting bracket to wall electronic movement  and the TV (of course provided that you decide to remove the TV from the pedestal and put  it on the wall).

• HDMI standards for “High Definition Multimedia Interface” that allows the transmission of  digital video data and high-definition digital audio to multiple channels.

The TV is supported by an additional control panel, but this time located on the left side.

• - with a side slot to insert the card CI (Common Interface) in the “slot”. With some channels, if not insert the IC card is the message “encrypted signal. information containing a telephone number, ID card ICs, host ID and other data will receive an error message that this event must contact the service provider.
• When configuring the channel information is complete, you receive the message “update completed”, indicating that the  channel list has been updated.

- S-VIDEO-issue of video and audio input for external devices, such as a camcorder or VCR.
- Headphones jack-you can connect your headphones if you want to watch a television program without disturbing other people in the room.

° Display Of Menu °
As a TV worthy of respect, could not miss the menu!
Just press on the remote control the word “menu” and you will immediately see a screen. On the left are six icons: IMAGE, SOUND, CHANNEL, SET, DIGITAL INPUT and MENU.

° Storage automatic °
You can scan the frequency range available (of course depends on the nation, in this case for Italy there is no problem). The program numbers automatically assigned numbers may not match the actual programs or desired. However, you can sort numbers manually and delete unwanted channels. It is also possible to store the channels manually, including those received via cable.

° PC °
the image that you usually see on the PC may be deferred depending on the version of Windows and the video card installed. If the screens will be different, the same basic information for the configuration are applicable in virtually every case. For now, I found everything! Maybe with time I hope to enrich many other details this wonderful TV.
