Before I go into the technical details I should like to say something: I’m not a hi-fi fetishist and this is my first LED TV. The functionality of the cable and Sat tuners I could not test for lack of a dish and a cable connection. The review reflects my personal feeling. Others might put more emphasis e.g. on the picture or other things.
I decided to buy the Sharp instead of Samsung:
For a local dealer, we were able to compare the Sharp with the Samsung side by side. In our opinion, the picture of Sharp on the colors richer and has more real.
Next we had the points taken into consideration:
- 60 inch class!
- Built in Wifi
- 3D TV ready
- Triple-tuner
- Internet ready
- DLNA-enabled
- Harmonizes well with the Playstation3
- Cheaper than an equivalent Samsung
The TV was ordered and delivered within a few days. The installation on the included stand was easy, but it should be made of at least two people. The guide comes in printed form and was very understandable for the initial installation. The TV is operated at me with a DVB-T antenna and the transmitters were located and stored immediately. The ordering of channels is quite annoying. For me I have a few channel, it was not a great time, but when using cable or satellite you may ever need much time for it.
The picture is very good and the colors of course. Signals with lower resolution (PAL TV or video file) can be scaled up very well and presented well. Extremely good movement and also sharpen the 3D mode. The black is crisp and deep black! (Thanks to LED technology) Oh yes, I have a seat pitch of 3 meters and 60″ screen size is optimal.
I always enjoy to watch movies and listen music on the PlayStation 3 because in my eyes the DLNA client of Sharp’s a bit slow, not working properly and does not provide enough functionality. Also with “VyperDrive” Feature, Make the games run smooth and eliminate the lag time.
The connection via “Aquos-Link” with a HDMI cable for Playstation works fine. You can easily (if configured) turn on the Playstation3, the PS3 menu to scroll and select functions. The special features of the PS3 remote control will obviously not be covered, but good enough for the PS3 remote control during the movies or pictures can be put down to look.

To make it short: A fantastic device! The best TV picture that I have ever seen! This is a really good TV, the current price in this segment cannot be beaten. The picture is excellent, The 3D display is outstanding. The facilities very good and the design is also top! With the purchase of the Sharp was certainly not a mistake.
