The “Sony Bravia KDL46HX850” offers especially for new HD productions such as the Crime Scene on HD channel, It is clear, looks natural and has a very nice black levels. Also, the BluRay movies on the Sony BDP-S185, with “Avatar” is tested, just brilliant and super liquid.

The colors, sharpness, softness, appearance, and the naturalness of the picture: This really fits all. Even DVDs shine with a new look! The sound is fine but when I watch movies or something then I switch up my 5.1 system anyway.

To test the 3D properly, I then looked at Prometheus in 3D. The 3D effect is very good (and probably better for larger devices). Also The picture setting I have left at the default settings. Because the default picture settings are already great, but of course you can get in there a little taste of fine tuning.

The menu is slightly sluggish, but for me still absolutely fine. SEN (Sony Entertainment Network) had then immediately downloaded and installed an update. Also new to me when I go to the menu is always displayed in a corner of a small image of the current TV channel, great!

The “Smart TV” features: Today its use is no longer just watch TV for TV and movies, but also for various Internet applications. Here, too, the Sony can watch video on YouTube (also in 3D) and various media libraries via Facebook, Twitter and a Web browser. Everything is possible. The browser is easy to operate, is a bit slow (in which It is still a lot faster than my old TV).

YouTube works even in 3D and is really fast. Here I have already looked at several trailers in 3D. SEN works wonderfully and quickly. I can only report positive here. For Skype I couldn’t test, unfortunately, since I’m not in possession of the necessary camera.

Conclusion: The Sony KDL46HX850 has excellent picture quality, clear sound and nice features, really nothing to complain about. I’m absolutely satisfied with the TV and would recommend it without consideration. >> Read More Reviews
