Sony BRAVIA KDL-46EX500 1080P 120Hz 46-Inch LCD HD TV
KDL-46EX500 Review By “Mateo”
Since I was tired of watching movies on my old CRT TV. So, I decided to buy my new TV should have HD resolution, 120Hz technology and 24p True Cinema feature because i love watching movies very much. With these criteria, I then read numerous reviews and I thoroughly studied the various models of the manufacturer.
The top of the best shopping places (eg Amazon) show almost always Samsung, Sony, LG, Panasonic and Philips. I decided the Sony BRAVIA KDL-46EX500, i chose sony because I like design and I convinced the brand. From picture quality each brand are not differences.
Installation:
Unpacking and setup was no problem. One only needs to tighten the stand to the rest of the television. You should do with carefully because the TV is very large.
When you first start the installation wizard performs the installation. I needed no guide, as everything was very clear and self explanatory. You have to say is if the TV is received via DVB-T, DVB-C, or analog cable signal already starts the search for the programs. Then you could start the viewing experience. About DVB-T was the picture very clear.
Next, I connected my digital satellite receiver, also detects a picture without stuttering, or other errors.
Via HDMI so I have connected my Bluray player and “Batman-The Dark Knight” is inserted. The picture was simply sensational. One can see every little detail and the movements are all very natural seamless. Exactly should constitute a good picture.
What has surprised me very positively was the power consumption. By default, my TV uses about 140W, but to set the power saving features of consumption drops at maximum backlight on 120W. Even if the sun is out the window seemingly in, I think the image with the activated power saving function is not too dark. If you now but in the evening when it is dark outside watching a movie, you can still also dim the backlight, then you can achieve with minimal setting a consumption of 70W. In my settings for movies to get to about 85W, which is significantly less than I was expecting, because Sony has a power consumption of 255W.
Conclusion
I am very happy with my purchase, Sony 46EX500 has done a very good job. From both SDTV and HDTV was perfect. The is HDTV that I would buy again and again.
