Toshiba HD TV 40UL605U Reviews
Toshiba 40UL605U 40-Inch 1080p 120 Hz Ultra Thin LED HDTV [Black]
40UL605U Review By “Amaleta”
After a long search and many comparisons I have decided on the Toshiba 46WL768. I have the device now for about a month and I am completely satisfied. The technical details I will not summarize here, everyone can google. Short and a few personal impressions / experiences:
Body / Design:
The elegant, simple design was an important selling point. The TV looks very high quality and excellent workmanship. A real eye-catcher in the living room. The back is made of metal and not like as in many other types of plastic. The front is covered by a continuous, frameless glass plate, at the bottom you will find a variety of sensor actions. Although the glass is reflected, but unless you’re a light in front is, the viewing experience in the operation is not affected.
Installation and connection was easy: I pre-viewed on the homepage of the Toshiba Video tips and just as it was. Since the device has all (!!!) tuner, I only had the antenna cable plug in, start the station search, ready.
Picture:
The picture is outstanding. I’ve watched a lot of really competing models, but no one I personally liked the picture quality is so good. Even the basic setting, the colors are brilliant and very natural, not like those fake candy colors that are often seen. The black is really dark black. A better black level you get only with a plasma, but must then take into the disadvantages of a plasma (weaker intensity, high power consumption, chunky design, etc.). When watching a movie, even in very dark scenes I can not see a trick thing (clouding effect).
Blu-ray or HD channels make a lot of fun. DVDs also offer a surprisingly good picture. The analog channels can only disappoint as is clear, but by the numerous picture enhancer of Toshi still conjures up an acceptable picture.
Sound:
The Speakers quality fit with its thin frame. But again, the sound can be significantly improved by adjusting the settings. For a device like Toshiba has done with a very thin frame with sounding good work. To fully enjoy movies experience should to buy a surround sound system.
Conclusion: A great device that’s fun, extremely stylish looks and offers very good value for money. I can only recommend everyone to wish new entertainment HDTV 2011.
