I have the 55-inch Toshiba’s now 1 month and am still very happy with the device.
This model from Toshiba is an incredible bargain, when compared with equivalent models from other brands with appropriate functions. All positive qualities that have been listed in the ratings, I can only confirm to 100%.
The design is top, as both the frame and the stator in a high gloss finish come along. However, this has its drawbacks, as you can see every fingerprint, and every speck of dust, the piano black frame is also very sensitive to scratches! The included cleaning cloth caused at the first application (dry as it is in the manual) fine, but depending on the light easily visible scratches
Installation : after the first turn starts an automatic installation that country, language and tuner (cable / antenna). Thereafter, the Toshiba begins with setting the station. For me it is currently DVB-T. Good! So you have after the initial setup first a TV picture.
Then of course you want to customize the order of the channel list according to their preferences. And there begins my first point of criticism. It is absolutely awkward, and it took some time before I understood the system and have got all the channels in my preferred order. Well, that one does not do so often.
Bluray: I tested Bluray movies with reference to the highest quality High-Difinition feeling should reflect (Avatar, Casino Royal …). The players are an LG-BD standalone player.
My conclusion: For darker scenes are still many details to identify good + black value.
During fast scenes make the image stabilizer, a really good job. Not a jerk and no streaking.
The DLNA function can use the Windows Media Player is already in full use. Pictures, music and videos can be
from the laptop or PC to stream smoothly to your TV.
Sound:
I thought. it’s actually pretty great and sufficient. If you want more full experience of movies and games, you should connect it with surround sound systems.
Remote Control:
The remote control has a simple, yet elegant design and is also advised not to big, like so many other manufacturers. Thanks to the matt surface is insensitive to these fingerprints!
Conclusion
From a price / performance ratio in the Toshiba is almost unbeatable. watching movies on the Toshiba is fun very good picture Sharp, detailed and smooth.
