Samsung UN55D6500 Review
Samsung UN55D6500 55-Inch 1080p 120HZ 3D LED TV [Black]
Review By “Laurent E”
Samsung TV LCD or whether LEDs are quite popular. Due to the severe price decline, it was possible to buy a fairly large LED TV.
We looked around and found a brand of Samsung LED TV. UN55D6500 model. First, we wanted to take D6300, D6400 for us but decided because of built-in Wi-Fi and narrower frame.
Picture quality:
Absolute class! Regardless of whether HD or SD. It’s just fun to use the device and both contrast and black levels are phenomenal. As for picture quality of this device to class and heard a reference for me! There are many settings in terms of image and the first thing I have changed Motion Plus is of “standard” to “clear” position. Because it looks more natural. There are also some settings in Internet, in terms of calibration, but I have not tested it yet. I have only backlight turned down from 16 to 13. TV consumes 97 watts instead of 110. It’s certainly darker, but I’ll test it later. The variety of settings like me very well and leaves nothing to be desired.
Sound:
I was shocked that such a thin TV can output one so special and good sound. You can also turn certain effects such as SRS. We have a receiver without HDMI so we have the TV connected via optical cable and it works fine.
Menu guide:
Everything here is great. I have not used a single time the user manual. If it is not clear yet what will be either on the homepage of Samsung and will download the instructions, or press “E-Manual” button on the remote and already are many but not all issues resolved. For everything else, Google is very helpful.
Remote Control:
Self-explanatory, with large keys. Keyboard lighting is very convenient.
Built-in Tuner:
This model has a tuner that can receive all of which namely radio, DVB-T, DVB-C, DVB-C (HD) and DVB-S and DVB-S HD. ARTE, ZDF, ARD and Broadcast for free in HD and SD channels you want to see any more after having watched the first HD (football for example). Use of CI card is possible to watch encrypted channels.
Channel sorting is a particular issue. While you can copy channel list on the USB stick, but unfortunately it uses a nothing, because there is not a good program for channel sorting for D-series, while it would be great if it was going to sort all stations in the program, search and channel numbers . I am 25 years old and I have done it without problems.
Media Player:
I bought a USB stick to upgrade firmware from version 1006 to 1012, really without any problems. Media Player plays almost all video formats. Music playback works great and looks great, but can’t plays FLAC format.
Browser:
Worse still is, thought Samsung and built-in browser, which is extremely slow and jerky.
Apps:
Samsung apps work quite well, I know that this Smart TV history is only a piece of candy, but if you like making an advertisement, then it should work for everything good and thought out. App plays YouTube videos not in 1080p or 720p, but 360p. Poor video quality.
Conclusion
In the end, For picture, sound quality and design are great. The operation is of secondary importance but at Samsung’s quite good. I’m very happy and so am speaking from a buy recommendation. You will have fun with the device and it is a real treasure when it comes to design. Have fun with this TV!
