TC-L37E3 Review By “Gimlet”

For several reasons I decided to buy a new TV. I must say that I am using a TV to watch TV and I’m also not use for any activity for which the computer is actually made.

After 2 evenings Internet research I chose the Panasonic TC-L37E3. (I am chosen a device without a 3D function because this technology is still not mature well.)

I had paid attention to the following specifications:

- Screen Size: 37 inches
- Screen resolution: 1920 x 1080 pixels – Full HD
- Picture Technology: IPS Alpha LED panel TV
- Reception: DVB-S tuner (The Panasonic TC-L37E3 also has DVB-T and DVB-C tuner)
- Low power consumption (53 watts This device is indicated – 0.3 watts in standby.)

Arrived after the purchase at home, it went straight to the box. The manual was from the beginning a good impression. The stand was quickly assembled and bolted to the unit. After about 15 minutes, a useful channel list was created. (I must say that I have a satellite system and the device has a built-DVB-S tuner)

To customize the channel list to my own ideas, I have spent a little time, the operation is very user friendly.

With the picture quality, I’m happy, The IPS Alpha LED panel delivers a very natural image, the colors and details are really great. Contours are clearly visible. The fast-moving image is smoothly without flickering.

The Teletext function allows simultaneous viewing of the television picture and video text, the screen is divided. This split screen I find enjoyable. The mode is fixed and can not be re-adjusted by a conversion setup.

A major advantage of the TC-L37E3 is the separate power switch. The remote control structured is somewhat unfortunate, since a few key buttons are located at the bottom and not near the center of gravity.

As an external device I have connected a DVD player via scart cable. (I know this is old fashioned.) But switching between TV and DVD player is quick and easy. The TC-L37E3 also plays most formats of the USB hard drive without complaint.

Conclusion: I think the Panasonic TC-L37E3 is a solid device with great strengths in the picture and operation. >> See All Reviews and Rating
